Skip the 12-step overwhelm. Here's what actually matters.

Start with the barrier, not the actives

Before you reach for retinol or acids, make sure your skin's moisture barrier is intact. A gentle cleanser and a basic ceramide cream for two weeks will tell you what your skin actually needs.

Patch test, even the gentle stuff

Botanical doesn't mean non-reactive — essential oils and plant extracts cause more sensitivity than most synthetic ingredients. Dab a bit behind your ear or on your inner forearm for 48 hours.

Layer thinnest to thickest

Watery serums first, then lotions, then creams, then oils or SPF. If you're using a niacinamide and a vitamin C, give each one about 60 seconds to absorb before the next.

Don't chase trends — chase your skin type

I have sensitive skin. Where should I start?

Begin with a fragrance-free cleanser, a ceramide moisturizer like CeraVe, and a mineral SPF. Skip actives (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for the first two to three weeks while your barrier settles. If you're not sure, message us — we'll put together a starter set.

Can I use vitamin C and retinol together?

You can, but most skin tolerates them better split between morning (vitamin C) and night (retinol). Layering both at once raises your chances of irritation, especially if you're new to either one.

What's your return policy on opened products?
